Mozart and Strauss in the Schönbrunn Orangery at 20:30, 1 hour 45 minutes with interval, four categories from €58.
The Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra plays Mozart and Strauss with opera soloists, usually in the Orangery beside the palace. The organiser says concerts run 365 days a year at 20:30 and last about 1 hour 45 minutes including a 15-minute interval, when the Orangery garden is open. The programme changes daily and draws on The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, Die Fledermaus, The Blue Danube and the Radetzky March.
Tickets come as VIP, A, B and C, standing for front, middle and back. Seats inside a category are first come, first served, and doors open 30 minutes before. VIP adds front rows, priority entry, a glass of sparkling wine, a programme booklet and a separate cloakroom. The organiser does not publish the size of the orchestra or the number of seats, and its site also uses the name Schönbrunn Palace Ensemble.
Checked on 4 October 2026. Lowest adult price in the catalogue on 4 October 2026.
Couples and visitors who want a palace setting with a long programme of the famous tunes, and are happy to travel out to Schönbrunn for it.
Free cancellation ends three days before, the strictest term on this page along with the dinner version. On some dates the concert moves to the Great Gallery or the White-and-Gold Room. The price is flagged as dynamic, so €58 is the lowest figure seen on 4 October 2026.
Take the U4 to Schönbrunn. The ticket office is across from the station, marked by three green doors and two blue flags, and you scan the code on your booking from 20:00. The cloakroom is compulsory for coats, umbrellas and large bags and costs €1 an item. The organiser suggests smart casual clothes.
