Verdict
First time in the city
The Pietà concert has the larger review base by far (1,102 reviews, 9.5 out of 10), a 19:00 start, a venue the catalogue lists as wheelchair accessible and free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Book a Monday, Wednesday or Friday if you want the Four Seasons.

Interpreti Veneziani are a standing ensemble founded in 1987, and their 90-minute programme goes past the Four Seasons: the 11 October 2026 concert added a Handel concerto grosso and a concerto from Vivaldi's La Stravaganza. No costumes are mentioned. Neither concert on this page states that period instruments are used.

A night for two
Interpreti Veneziani start at 21:00 in October and 20:30 from November, late enough for dinner first, and the concert runs 90 minutes. The score is 9.7 out of 10, on 88 reviews.

With children
The Pietà concert starts at 19:00 and ends around 20:20. The catalogue states no minimum age, has a category for children under 3 and a reduced rate for ages 3 to 25. The San Vidal listing publishes no age information.

At a glance
Each bar runs from the start to the end of the show.
A Vivaldi concert in Venice is sold on every second street corner, but the Civitatis catalogue carries only two: the Four Seasons concert at the Chiesa della Pietà on the Riva degli Schiavoni, and Interpreti Veneziani at the Chiesa di San Vidal near the Accademia bridge. Both are seated concerts of 80 to 90 minutes for strings and harpsichord, with no costumes, no dinner and no drink. Each ticket also includes entry to the Museo della Musica in the church of San Maurizio.
We read both products on 4 October 2026 and checked them against the concert calendar run by the organisers themselves. We have not attended either concert, so nothing here judges the playing. People searching for Venice opera tickets should know what is missing: the costumed opera at the Scuola Grande di San Teodoro, the travelling opera of Musica a Palazzo and performances at Teatro La Fenice are not in this catalogue. La Fenice appears only as a daytime visit with an audio guide, which is not a performance.

Before you choose
Start with the hour. The Pietà concert begins at 19:00 and lasts 1 hour 20 minutes, so it is over by about 20:20. Interpreti Veneziani start late: 21:00 on the October dates in the organisers' calendar and 20:30 on the November and December dates we checked, for a 90-minute concert. One leaves you free for dinner afterwards, the other asks you to eat first.
Then look at the programme for your date, because the Four Seasons is not played every night. At the Pietà the catalogue gives it on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays the same ticket buys Around Vivaldi, which on 6 October 2026 was a set of Vivaldi concertos for bassoon, violin and cello with no Four Seasons in it. The San Vidal listing gives the Four Seasons on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, followed by other pieces for strings and harpsichord.
The evidence behind each score is uneven. The Pietà concert has 1,102 reviews at 9.5 out of 10. San Vidal has 9.7 out of 10 from 88 reviews. Refund terms are identical: free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
Some things no source states. Neither listing says the musicians play period instruments, and neither organiser publishes the number of seats or a dress code. The Pietà is listed as wheelchair accessible and sold with free seating. For San Vidal the catalogue gives no accessibility or seating information at all. One more check for San Vidal: in the organisers' own calendar, every Interpreti Veneziani concert we opened from October to December 2026 was listed at Palazzo Zaguri, a different building in San Marco. Confirm the address on your voucher.
Plan
No food or drink is sold with either ticket. For the 19:00 concert at the Pietà, eat afterwards: it ends at about 20:20. For Interpreti Veneziani at 20:30 or 21:00, eat first. The Museo della Musica included in both tickets closes at 19:30, so see it earlier in the day or on another day.
The Pietà is sold with free seating, so the earlier you arrive the better your choice of seat. The catalogue says only to come a few minutes early, while other sellers of the same concert ask for 30 minutes. No source says how seats are given out for Interpreti Veneziani.
Expect a string ensemble with harpsichord playing for 80 minutes at the Pietà and 90 minutes with Interpreti Veneziani. Neither organiser states whether there is an interval, whether photos are allowed or whether the sound is amplified.
Both venues are in the pedestrian centre, so most people walk. Interpreti Veneziani give Accademia as their vaporetto stop, on lines 1 and 2. Their concert ends at about 22:00 or 22:30, and we have not verified boat times at that hour, so check the timetable for your night. The Pietà is on the Riva degli Schiavoni, a short walk along the waterfront from the Doge's Palace.
Where
The Chiesa della Pietà faces the lagoon on the Riva degli Schiavoni, a few minutes' walk east of the Doge's Palace. It is the only venue on this page in Castello, and its concert is the early one, at 19:00.
The Chiesa di San Vidal stands at the end of Campo Santo Stefano, where the path leads to the Accademia bridge. It is a former church now used as a concert room, and Interpreti Veneziani give it as their home address. The Museo della Musica, included in both tickets, is close by in Campo San Maurizio, and so is Palazzo Zaguri, where the ensemble's own calendar places its concerts in late 2026.
The Four Seasons concert at the Chiesa della Pietà lasts 1 hour 20 minutes. Interpreti Veneziani at San Vidal play for an hour and a half. Neither organiser says whether there is an interval.
No. At the Pietà the catalogue lists the Four Seasons on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and a different Vivaldi programme called Around Vivaldi on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The San Vidal listing gives the Four Seasons on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The ticket price is the same whichever programme falls on your date, so check the day before you book.
Civitatis accepts bookings for both concerts up to the start time, subject to availability. Since both allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before, booking a few days ahead costs you nothing if plans change. Neither organiser publishes how many seats there are, so we cannot say how fast they sell.
At the Pietà, yes: the catalogue states no minimum age, lists children under 3 as a category and offers a youth rate for ages 3 to 25. The 19:00 start ends at about 20:20. The San Vidal listing gives no age rule, and that concert starts at 20:30 or 21:00.
Neither organiser publishes a dress code and the catalogue mentions none. These are concerts, not services, held in a church on the Riva degli Schiavoni and in a former church by the Accademia bridge.
No. The catalogue we use has no opera performance in Venice on 4 October 2026: no costumed opera at the Scuola Grande di San Teodoro, no Musica a Palazzo and no performance tickets for Teatro La Fenice. Its only La Fenice product is a self-guided visit with an audio guide, and that ticket is non-refundable.
Yes, for both concerts when booked through Civitatis: cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start. After that, or if you do not turn up, there is no refund.
Price, duration, what is included, minimum age and cancellation come from the Civitatis catalogue. Room capacity, dress code and start times come from each venue's own website.
