Usual start times

Most people looking for Moulin Rouge tickets are choosing between three things without knowing it: the 21:00 show, the 23:00 show, and the 19:00 dinner show. All three are the same revue, Féerie, in the same room at 82 Boulevard de Clichy. The show-only ticket includes half a bottle of champagne per person and starts from €160. It is also non-refundable, which is the fact to sit with before paying.

The Moulin Rouge is one of four cabaret houses we found in the catalogue. Paradis Latin, Crazy Horse and La Nouvelle Eve all start lower (from €99 to €119) and all three can be cancelled without charge up to a deadline. The sheets below give the same fields for each: price, length, what you drink, minimum age, dress rules, where you sit. We have not attended these shows, so nothing here judges the performance itself.

One sheet per show

Before you choose

How the houses differ here

  1. Start with the refund terms, because the sums are large. The official Moulin Rouge ticket cannot be refunded or exchanged, and the house's own FAQ says the same. Two other products put you in the same room with free cancellation up to 24 hours before: a bus tour of the city followed by the show (from €190), and a dinner show with a ride back to central Paris (from €374). Paradis Latin can be cancelled up to 10 hours before, Crazy Horse up to 24 hours, La Nouvelle Eve up to 48 hours. Four of the six products are flagged as dynamically priced, so every figure here is a 'from' price read on 4 October 2026.

  2. Then decide on dinner. At the Moulin Rouge, dinner means arriving at 18:45 for a 19:00 seating and leaving around 22:45, with a choice of three menus (Toulouse-Lautrec, Belle Époque, vegetarian). Paradis Latin runs dinner from 19:30 ahead of a 21:30 show and its own site describes about 90 minutes of pre-show among the tables. La Nouvelle Eve serves a three-course dinner at 18:30 before its 20:15 show. Crazy Horse serves no meal at all: it is a 90-minute show with or without a drink. If you would rather eat somewhere of your own choosing, the show-only tickets at all four houses include or offer champagne.

  3. The rooms differ a lot in size. The Moulin Rouge is listed at 850 seats. Paradis Latin gives its total capacity as 650. A venue-hire directory lists the Crazy Horse main room at 200 seated. La Nouvelle Eve does not publish a figure. None of the four lets you pick a seat: a head waiter places you on arrival, and the Moulin Rouge says its floor plan is redrawn every day.

  4. One name is missing on purpose. The Lido on the Champs-Élysées stopped its revue in 2022 and reopened as Lido 2 Paris, a musical theatre house, so it is no longer a cabaret evening. All four houses here include topless numbers, which matters for the age rules: 6 at the Moulin Rouge, 8 on the La Nouvelle Eve ticket, 12 on the Paradis Latin ticket, 16 at Crazy Horse.

Plan

The evening, step by step

  1. Before the show

Dinner seatings start at 18:30 at La Nouvelle Eve, 19:00 at the Moulin Rouge and 19:30 at Paradis Latin, so with a dinner ticket the meal is the first half of the night. On a show-only ticket for 20:00 to 21:30, eat early nearby. For a 22:30 or 23:00 show, have a proper dinner first, because Crazy Horse serves no food.

  2. Arriving

All four houses give out seats on arrival through a head waiter, so being early is the only influence you have. The Moulin Rouge opens for the 21:00 show from 20:15, Crazy Horse asks for 45 minutes, and La Nouvelle Eve opens its doors 30 minutes before. Shorts and flip-flops are refused at the Moulin Rouge, Paradis Latin and Crazy Horse.

  3. The show itself

Expect about 90 minutes at Crazy Horse and La Nouvelle Eve, about 1 hour 40 minutes at the Moulin Rouge and just over 90 minutes at Paradis Latin. The Moulin Rouge wants phones off and allows no photos. Every revue here has topless numbers.

  4. Getting back

Each house is a short walk from a metro station: Blanche (line 2) for the Moulin Rouge and La Nouvelle Eve, Cardinal Lemoine (line 10) for Paradis Latin, Alma-Marceau (line 9) for Crazy Horse. The Paris tourist office says the last trains reach their terminus at about 01:15, and 02:15 on Friday and Saturday nights, with Noctilien night buses from 00:30 to 05:30. A 23:00 Moulin Rouge show or a midnight Crazy Horse show cuts that close, so check your own station or plan on a taxi.

Where

Where the houses are

Montmartre and Pigalle

The Moulin Rouge is at 82 Boulevard de Clichy, opposite Blanche metro, and La Nouvelle Eve is a few streets away at 25 rue Pierre Fontaine, between Blanche and Pigalle (lines 2 and 12). Four of the six products on this page are here: the three Moulin Rouge options and La Nouvelle Eve. The Moulin Rouge is the largest room, listed at 850 seats.

Latin Quarter

Paradis Latin stands alone on the Left Bank at 28 rue du Cardinal Lemoine, in the 5th arrondissement. Cardinal Lemoine (line 10) is the nearest metro, and Jussieu (lines 7 and 10) is also close. The room holds 650 and most of the evening is built around dinner from 19:30.

Champs-Élysées

Crazy Horse is at 12 Avenue George V, five minutes on foot from Alma-Marceau (line 9). It is the small room of the four, listed at 200 seats, with a 90-minute show and no meal.

Common questions

Which Moulin Rouge show is better, 21:00 or 23:00?

They are the same show with the same half bottle of champagne. The house asks you to arrive from 20:15 for the 21:00 show, which ends around 22:45, and from 22:45 for the 23:00 show, so the late one finishes well after midnight. The Blanche metro station is across the road, but check the time of your last train before choosing 23:00.

Is dinner at the Moulin Rouge worth paying for?

It buys an earlier, longer evening in the same room: arrival at 18:45, dinner from 19:00, then the 21:00 show. You choose between the Toulouse-Lautrec, Belle Époque and vegetarian menus, and half a bottle of champagne is still included. We cannot tell you how the food tastes. If the meal is not the point for you, the show-only ticket from €160 gives you the same performance.

Can I cancel Moulin Rouge tickets?

Not the official ticket. Both the catalogue and the Moulin Rouge FAQ say it cannot be refunded or exchanged. The two packaged products (night bus tour with show, and dinner show with transport) allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before, at a higher price.

Can children go to a cabaret in Paris?

The Moulin Rouge admits children from 6 with an adult, the La Nouvelle Eve ticket is sold from 8, Paradis Latin from 12 and Crazy Horse from 16. All of them are adult revues with topless numbers, and at the houses that admit under-16s the earliest show-only start is 20:15. For that reason we do not name a family pick. If you go anyway, La Nouvelle Eve at 20:15 ends at 21:45 and is refundable up to 48 hours before, though it has only 2 reviews.

What should I wear to the Moulin Rouge?

The house asks for city dress and states that a jacket and tie are not compulsory. Shorts, flip-flops and sportswear or trainers are refused at the door. The night tour listing is stricter and says men must wear a jacket, so follow that if you book it. Paradis Latin and Crazy Horse also turn away shorts and flip-flops.

How long is a Paris cabaret show?

Crazy Horse and La Nouvelle Eve run about 90 minutes. The Moulin Rouge says Féerie lasts about 1 hour 40 minutes, and the catalogue allows 2 hours for the visit. Paradis Latin describes a show of just over 90 minutes, or about 3 hours with dinner.
