A night for two

Patio de la Judería

Choosing a flamenco show in Cordoba is a shorter job than in Seville, because the Civitatis catalogue sells only three: Tablao El Cardenal, Tablao El Jaleo and the restaurant Patio de la Judería. All three are in the old town near the Mosque-Cathedral, and all three play once a night, in the evening. If you are looking for the best flamenco show in Córdoba, the useful differences are length, what comes with the ticket, and whether you can get your money back.

Each sheet below was read in the catalogue on 4 October 2026 and checked against the venue's own website. We have not sat in these rooms, so nothing here judges the singing or the dancing. Several things the houses do not publish, room capacity above all, are marked as unknown instead of guessed.

Show sheets

One sheet per show

You book on Civitatis, the ticket platform, under its own terms.

Before you choose

How the houses differ here

  1. Start with the refund terms, because they differ more than the prices. Tablao El Cardenal can be cancelled free up to 48 hours before, Patio de la Judería up to 24 hours before, and Tablao El Jaleo is non-refundable from the moment you book. If your dates in Córdoba might move, that rules El Jaleo out on its own.

  2. Then look at length and what is on the table. Patio de la Judería is a one-hour show in a restaurant, sold alone from €18, with a drink, or with a set dinner. El Cardenal runs 80 minutes with one drink on every ticket and no food on the Civitatis rate. El Jaleo is the longest at 90 minutes and the dearest at from €30, with a drink included and a dinner upgrade.

  3. Start times are late and there is only one per night. El Cardenal plays at 20:30 from September to June and at 21:30 in July and August, Monday to Saturday, with no Sunday show on its regular schedule. Patio de la Judería lists a show every day at 20:45. The catalogue gives 21:15 for El Jaleo, whose own website publishes no timetable.

  4. Some things could not be verified for any house: the number of seats, how seats are given out, whether the performance is amplified, and whether there is a dress code. We also found no Córdoba peña flamenca (the members' clubs where locals listen) on sale in the catalogue, so there is no pick below for visitors who want that kind of room. A peña has to be found and contacted directly.

Plan

The evening, step by step

  1. Before the show

With starts at 20:30, 20:45 and 21:15, the choice is an early meal or a late one. Patio de la Judería opens its kitchen at 19:30, and the dinner rates at both dinner houses seat you 30 to 60 minutes before the music. A show-only ticket ends between 21:45 and 22:45, when restaurants in the old town are still serving.

  2. Arriving

El Cardenal's website asks for 30 minutes, the catalogue for 15. Patio de la Judería wants show-only guests between 20:30 and 20:45, and El Jaleo opens to drink-only tickets at 20:45. None of the three says how seats are given out, so the earlier end of each window is the safer one.

  3. The show itself

Expect 60 minutes at Patio de la Judería, 80 at El Cardenal and 90 at El Jaleo, where the catalogue says you sit at tables around the stage. No house publishes whether there is an interval or what its rule on photos is. Ask at the door before lifting a phone.

  4. Getting back

All three houses are in the old town, within roughly 500 metres of each other by the catalogue's map coordinates, on streets best covered on foot. The city bus operator Aucorsa lists several lines that end at Plaza de las Tendillas in the modern centre. Its overview page gives no last departure times, so check your line before relying on a bus after 22:00.

Where

Where the houses are

Judería

The old Jewish quarter north-west of the Mosque-Cathedral holds two of the three houses. Tablao El Cardenal is at Calle Buen Pastor 2 and Patio de la Judería, a restaurant with a nightly show, is at Calle Conde y Luque 6, about 200 metres away in a straight line.

Plaza de la Alhóndiga

Tablao El Jaleo is on this small square at number 7, a few minutes' walk east of the Mosque-Cathedral. It is the only house on this side of the monument, and the one that sells a full dinner inside a tablao.

Common questions

How long is a flamenco show in Córdoba?

Between 60 and 90 minutes. Patio de la Judería is one hour, Tablao El Cardenal gives 80 minutes on its own website (the catalogue says 80 to 90), and Tablao El Jaleo is listed at 90 minutes.

Is the dinner worth paying for at a Córdoba flamenco show?

Two of the three houses sell it as an upgrade. At Patio de la Judería you arrive between 20:00 and 20:30 for a 20:45 show, and at El Jaleo from 20:15 for a 21:15 show, so in both cases the meal runs into the performance. If you want to watch without a plate in front of you, book the show with a drink and eat earlier: the Patio de la Judería restaurant opens at 19:30.

Do I need to book a flamenco show in Córdoba in advance?

Yes, because each house plays once a night. Civitatis stops selling Patio de la Judería 24 hours before the show and El Jaleo three hours before. El Cardenal and Patio de la Judería both offer free cancellation, so booking early costs nothing there. El Jaleo does not.

Can children go to a flamenco show in Córdoba?

None of the three states a minimum age. El Cardenal has a rate for children under 12 and El Jaleo has rates for ages 6 to 12 and under 6, plus a children's dinner menu. Patio de la Judería lists a separate category only for children under 3. No show starts before 20:30, so plan for a finish close to 22:00 or later.

What should I wear to a flamenco show in Córdoba?

No house publishes a dress code and the catalogue mentions none. These are evening shows of 60 to 90 minutes in tablaos and a restaurant, so there is no stated rule against what you wore during the day.

Can I cancel a flamenco ticket in Córdoba and get a refund?

It depends on the house. Through Civitatis, El Cardenal is refundable up to 48 hours before and Patio de la Judería up to 24 hours before. El Jaleo is non-refundable. After the deadline, or if you do not turn up, nothing comes back.
