First time in the city

La Alboreá

La Alboreá has 496 reviews at 9.3, the lowest starting price on the page (from €17.50) and free cancellation up to 1 hour before, and it is next to Plaza Nueva, so there is no hill and no taxi to arrange.

Cueva Los Amayas

Cueva Los Amayas states a limit of 60 people and performs with no stage and no PA system, which no other house here says about itself. Its score (8.7 from 200 reviews) is not the highest, so this pick rests on the room, not the rating.

A night for two

Cueva de la Rocío

Cueva de la Rocío sells dinner and show as one booking in a Sacromonte cave, with dinner seated 75 minutes before each of three shows and a drink included, and scores 9.1 from 230 reviews. Free cancellation closes 48 hours before.

Jardines de Zoraya

Jardines de Zoraya has an 18:00 show, admits all ages with a child rate for 6 to 12, and seats everyone within two rows of the stage. Casa Ana starts earlier, at 17:30, but its catalogue minimum age is 6.

Choosing a flamenco show in Granada is mostly a question of geography. Four of the eight houses on this page are caves on or just off the Camino del Sacromonte, where the local form is the zambra and the audience sits along the walls of a long whitewashed room. Two are tablaos a few minutes from Plaza Nueva. The last two sit in the Albaicín, one of them a cave with restaurant tables.

Every show here runs for about an hour and every one can be cancelled for free, though the deadline ranges from 1 hour to 48 hours before the start. Prices in the Civitatis catalogue started between €17.50 and €30 on 4 October 2026. We have not attended these shows, so nothing below judges the performers. It compares what can be checked: reviews, room size, what the ticket includes, times and refund terms.

Show sheets

One sheet per show

You book on Civitatis, the ticket platform, under its own terms.

Before you choose

How the houses differ here

  1. Start with where you want to be at 11 pm. The Camino del Sacromonte is closed to ordinary traffic. One cave's booking notes spell out the options: a taxi, the C34 minibus, or a walk from Plaza Nueva along the Paseo de los Tristes and up the Cuesta del Chapiz, then about 800 metres along the Camino. The two central tablaos, La Alboreá and Casa Ana, are flat and close to the cathedral, which matters with a pushchair, a wheelchair or tired legs.

  2. Sacromonte cave flamenco is often sold elsewhere as a package with hotel pickup and a night walk through the Albaicín. None of the eight Civitatis products here includes a transfer. Cuevas Los Tarantos and Cueva de la Rocío list transport packages on their own websites (Rocío showed its two as temporarily unavailable when we checked), so if you want to be collected, book that direct and compare the price with a ticket plus a taxi.

  3. Room size is published for only four houses. Cueva Los Amayas says 60 people, with no stage and no PA system. Casa Ana is listed at 80 in a tablao directory. Jardines de Zoraya gives 120 for its hall, arranged in a U with two rows. Los Tarantos gives about 190 across three caves. The others do not publish a figure, and we have not guessed one.

  4. Then check what the ticket covers. A drink is included at Los Tarantos, Cueva de la Rocío, Venta El Gallo and El Templo del Flamenco, and those four also sell a dinner rate. La Alboreá, Casa Ana, Los Amayas and Jardines de Zoraya are show-only tickets in the catalogue. Dinner is never compulsory at any of the eight.

Plan

The evening, step by step

  1. Before the show

In the centre, Casa Ana starts at 17:30 and La Alboreá at 19:00, both early enough for tapas afterwards. The Sacromonte caves start at 20:00 or later and there are few other places to eat late up there. Either eat in town first or take the dinner rate, which begins 60 to 75 minutes before the show at Venta El Gallo and Cueva de la Rocío.

  2. Arriving

The houses ask for 10 to 20 minutes. Cuevas Los Tarantos does not assign seats, so earlier is better there, and Casa Ana opens its doors 30 minutes before. For Sacromonte, add the time on the Camino itself: Cueva de la Rocío is about 800 metres along a road closed to ordinary traffic.

  3. During the show

About an hour at all eight houses. Cueva Los Amayas has no stage and no PA system, with the audience capped at 60. Venta El Gallo allows photos in the tablao and forbids video. The others publish no photo rule, so ask.

  4. Getting back

La Alboreá and Casa Ana are a few minutes on foot from Plaza Nueva. From Sacromonte the options are the C34 minibus to Plaza Nueva, a taxi, or the walk down the Cuesta del Chapiz and the Paseo de los Tristes. We could not confirm the time of the last C34, and the late shows end at 23:00 or after, so check it that day or book a taxi.

Where

Where the houses are

Centro (Plaza Nueva)

The flat streets between the cathedral and Plaza Nueva. La Alboreá on Calle Pan and Casa Ana on Calle Cárcel Alta are both show-only tablaos, with the earliest sessions and the lowest starting prices on this page.

Albaicín

The hillside quarter facing the Alhambra, steep and cobbled, served from the centre by the C31 and C32 minibuses. Jardines de Zoraya is a 120-seat hall on Calle Panaderos with a show as late as 22:30. El Templo del Flamenco is a cave on Calle Pernaleros Alto, with an optional dinner.

Sacromonte

The cave district east of the Albaicín, reached by the C34 minibus from Plaza Nueva, a taxi or an uphill walk. Cuevas Los Tarantos, Cueva Los Amayas and Cueva de la Rocío are on the Camino del Sacromonte, and Venta El Gallo is just off it on Barranco de los Negros. Three of the four include a drink. Los Amayas is show-only.

Common questions

How long is a flamenco show in Granada?

About one hour at all eight houses. El Templo del Flamenco's own site says 70 minutes. If you book a dinner rate, add the meal beforehand: dinner at Cueva de la Rocío starts 75 minutes before the show, at Venta El Gallo one hour before, at El Templo 30 minutes before.

Is Sacromonte cave flamenco better than a tablao in the centre?

We cannot rank them on quality because we have not attended. The checkable differences are these: the caves are a taxi, a C34 bus or an uphill walk from the centre and mostly include a drink, while the central tablaos are cheaper (from €17.50 and €20), flat to reach and have earlier shows. The two highest scores with more than 300 reviews both belong to central tablaos, Casa Ana (9.6) and La Alboreá (9.3).

Is the dinner worth adding?

It is optional everywhere, so the question is convenience. In Sacromonte there are few other places to eat late, and Cueva de la Rocío and Venta El Gallo both publish a three-course menu with drinks. In the centre and the lower Albaicín you are surrounded by tapas bars, and the show-only tickets leave you free to use them.

Do I need to book ahead?

The rooms are small. Los Amayas caps its audience at 60 and Casa Ana is listed at 80, so same-day seats are not something to count on in high season. Booking early costs little: all eight shows have free cancellation, from 1 hour before (La Alboreá) to 48 hours before (Cueva de la Rocío).

Can children go?

Six of the eight houses list no minimum age and have child rates. Casa Ana's catalogue ticket starts at age 6, and the venue itself says children under 4 are not admitted. El Templo del Flamenco's rate starts at age 1. The earliest shows are 17:30 at Casa Ana, 18:00 at Jardines de Zoraya and 19:00 at La Alboreá, while the Sacromonte caves start at 20:00 or later.

What should I wear?

No house on this page publishes a formal dress code. Cueva Los Amayas is the only one to mention clothing at all: no strict rule, comfortable clothes suited to a cultural event, and not beachwear. For Sacromonte, wear shoes you can walk in on cobbles.
