What the evening is

Los Tarantos is on Plaça Reial in the Gothic Quarter and has been open since 1963. Each session lasts about 40 minutes, with dance, guitar and singing. The venue lists four sessions a day, at 17:30, 18:30, 19:30 and 20:30.

The base ticket is the show alone. You can add a drink, or a tapas ticket that is served at the Expat Café next door, before or after the set. The venue does not publish a capacity figure, but it does say the room has both seated and standing areas.

Who it suits

Families and anyone short of time. There is no minimum age, children under 7 enter free, ages 7 to 10 have a reduced rate, and the first set is at 17:30.

The catch

It is the shortest show on this page. Seats go in order of arrival and the room has standing areas, so arriving late can mean standing. Free cancellation ends 48 hours before, earlier than at most houses.

Before you go
