Show sheet · Fado in Porto
A four-hour Gaia evening: cellar visit, two ports with live fado and a three-course dinner, from €56.
This is a port cellar evening with fado in it, not a concert. It starts at the Fonseca cellars at Rua do Choupelo 54 with a guided visit, followed by a tasting of two ports, Bin 27 and Siroco, during which the fado is performed. Dinner comes afterwards at a restaurant in the neighbouring WOW complex: vegetable cream soup, sea bass and crème brûlée, with wine, water and coffee. The whole thing takes four hours.
The catalogue does not say how long the fado itself lasts, so treat it as one part of the night. Fonseca's own announcement of the programme, from 2023, mentions a limit of 40 people a night; the catalogue lists a maximum of 10. It has 46 reviews and a score of 9.2.
Checked on 4 October 2026. Lowest adult price in the catalogue on 4 October 2026.
Couples and port drinkers who want one booking to cover the whole evening, cellar and dinner included.
The fado is the shortest part of a four-hour programme. The menu is fixed with fish as the main course, no alternative is listed, and free cancellation ends 48 hours before. The cellars are not wheelchair accessible.
Be at the cellars 10 minutes early. The visit is in English or Portuguese. Children aged 5 to 12 have their own rate and get grape juice at the tasting. Under-5s enter free but receive no juice or dinner.
